I have routinely used a W9XT card, with great success. I built a test interface to see if I could get TR to key memory 1 in the 765ProII. I changed my TRLog config file to look for the DVK on LPT1 instead of LPT2. I used a type "B" circuit as described in the TR manual. No luck keying the radio's keyer. (I have confirmed I have the radio set up properly by shorting the leads across mic pins 3 and 7 with the appropriate resistor, and the voice keyer works fine.) It occurs to me that the ProII is looking for something other than a simple on off switching action in order to key the memory keyer through the mic jack. To key CW from the PC through the jack on the back of the radio, all you really have to do is close the circuit. For the voice keyer, however, the radio is looking for a specific voltage drop across pins 3 and 7. Circuit B, as near as I can tell, doesn't provide this. Or, perhaps I am using circuit B incorrectly. I found this interface by doing a web search on "DVK Interface" http://www.qsl.net/ae0q/contest/dvk_trlog.htm Would anyone care to venture a guess as to whether or not this would be more successful? Or, provide an alternate circuit? 73, Tim K9WX --- In ic756pro2@y..., "Jim Shaw" wrote: > Built it in an hour or so using new RS parts (4 SPST momentary switches, 4 > resistors, 1 small plastic enclosure, and 1 cable with connector). Try a type "A" circuit. Seems to work fine. Nothing like posting a question to a group to help you make the creative leap that was previously unreachable. 73, Tim K9WX --- In ic756pro2@y..., "tgennett" wrote: > On a related note, has anyone built a successful interface to allow > the voice keyer to be controlled from logging software such as TR? > > I have routinely used a W9XT card, with great success. > > I built a test interface to see if I could get TR to key memory 1 in > the 765ProII.
