That will suck cool air in and across the display and then across the PA and keep it cool. It works great on mine. The fan only runs if the rig gets too hot while transmitting. Some designer missed the fact that it can get rather hot on receive, too. When you have something this close to classical Nirvana the little errors like this are most annoying.
