It has a switch to toggle between wide and normal modes and even has two selectable inputs, composite and S-video, although I admittedly have no need for the latter. I have not tried the internal speakers but I will do so soon. The brand name on the monitor is Kawasaki. The 7K looks great on this display so am pleased overall. I got mine at Circuit City for $60 and now they are $70. Price varies from week to week. Glad to hear from another poster that it works ok. Now you have a very nice GPS and can also display the IC-7000 screen. Only draw back (if you consider it to be) is that you can not have both at the same time.
